Lita Rossana Ford, popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British-born American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, who was the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock band, The Runaways, in the mid 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous songs helped them gain attention within the world of rock. The group was unable to gain a lot of attention in the United States but earned huge popularity overseas, especially in Japan. Ford was a long-running and successful career as a metal performer after the band split in 1979. Ford began vocal training followed by her debut album as a solo artist, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin at the Edge'. Ford could not do anything with either of them, and she left the scene for a decade. The smash-hit album Lita, released in 1989, served as the catalyst that led to her reemergence. Kiss Me Deadly was her greatest hit, as was the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Unfortunately, she did not last long and was absent from the charts for some time. In 1995 she released "Black," and fifteen years later 'Wicked Wonderland. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Her name was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
