The singer was born on 26 November 1986 at Santa Monica California in the United States of America. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo and her mother Valerie Barba. When she was six, the family relocated to Point Pleasant New Jersey. Her high school education within New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. Following her graduation of Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture and a Master's in Architecture, she continued to study at the university. Since the age of four, she has been a violinist"Violingirl" was her nickname. In recognition of her skills her performance, she received this name. She also taught the violin to children in the area. Later at the age of 19 she was a contestant on the sixth season of American Idol and sang the 1976 hit song Free. The singer was subsequently eliminated the show after she finished 16th place. She has sung several songs including 2009's 'The Christmas Song' and The 2010's Out for Blood. She has also been on a few television shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Antonella Barba became famous as an American after she was a contestant on American Idol's 6th season. When she lost out in the top 16 on American Idol, the singer began acting on screen. She played in some minor movies in addition to appearing in Fear Factor season 12 in contestant roles. Daily Mail report that according to news reports of November 21st, 2019 she has been sentenced to four years imprisonment in connection with a conspiracy to use of fentanyl to distribute it. In July the singer was discovered to be in possession of more than 400 grams of Fentanyl with the intention of distributing. She was however arrested in Virginia, in October 2018, when she attempted to transport two pounds of fentanyl to an underground storage facility.
